In 2007, Alfran carried out the pre-calciner and cooler design for the new white cement kiln at the CEMEX plan in Buñol (Valencia). Our company was awarded the turnkey project for both pieces of equipment, including the complete engineering of the heat-resistant materials, the supply of said materials, and installation. All the materials were installed by our own specialist personnel, supervised by our technical office staff and project management. Our performance in the application of concrete using the alfranjet® shotcreting technology system made it possible to reduce the execution time of the equipment, using 3 pumping machines. This made it posible to install the concrete at heights of up to 85 metres, achieving performance rates of 120 tons/shift. For this important project we received support in heat treatment from our company Intec-Heat, subjecting the equipment to a controlled heating and drying program, which made it possible to slowly eliminate the water in the concrete.
