WIKINGER PROJECT WIND JACKETS (Spain)

The Wikinger Project in Spain involved making 29 wind jackets for the North Sea. The parts that make up these structures need to be at 100ºC when welded together.

Intec Heat took charge of heating by installing contact heat resistors, placed in such a way that they did not interfere with the work of the welders.

The construction of the jackets took place at 2 locations: the facilities of Navatia in Fene (A Coruña) and in Puerto Real (Cadiz).

The works lasted approximately 1 year, working 24 hours and the average number of heat treatment machines used was 30.
